{"id":23,"date":"2015-06-05T14:28:04","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T14:28:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spreadsheets.ist.tugraz.at\/?page_id=23"},"modified":"2015-07-21T13:33:19","modified_gmt":"2015-07-21T11:33:19","slug":"payrollgradebook-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/spreadsheets.sai.tugraz.at\/index.php\/corpora-for-benchmarking\/payrollgradebook-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Payroll\/Gradebook Corpus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Payroll\/Gradebook corpus is an Excel version of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.computer.org\/csdl\/trans\/ts\/2006\/04\/e0213-abs.html\">Ruthruff \u00a0<em>et al.&#8217;s<\/em> Forms\/3 spreadsheets<\/a>.\u00a0The corpus is based on a user study, in which 20 participants debugged two spreadsheets, namely \u00a0<em>Gradebook<\/em> and <em>Payroll<\/em> \u00a0by setting testing decisions and using the fault localization technique <em>Nearest Consumer<\/em>.<br \/>\nThe <em>Gradebook<\/em> spreadsheet computes a student&#8217;s grade\u00a0\u00a0at the end of the term, including results from quizzes, midterms and an exam to calculate a course grade\u00a0and contains five faults in five different cells.\u00a0The <em>Payroll<\/em> spreadsheet computes an employee&#8217;s salary, insurance and tax costs. This slightly larger spreadsheet contains six input cells, 18 formula cells, nine of which contain <em>IF<\/em> statements, and five faults in four cells.\u00a0All user actions that were performed in Ruthruff \u00a0<em>et al.<\/em>&#8216;s study, i.e. input and formula changes as well as any testing decisions, were written to log files.\u00a0For our testing purposes, we converted the Forms\/3 test files as well as the logging information to our evaluation format. \u00a0For each study participant, one or more spreadsheets and sets of testing decisions are created, depending on the user actions during the session: Each time a user changes either an input cell or a formula cell, an additional spreadsheet and test set is created.\u00a0 A detailed description of the conversion can be found \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spreadsheets.sai.tugraz.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/05\/DA_Final.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since the testing decisions were set by humans, they may contain errors: nearly one third of the values are misclassified (oracle mistakes).
